Arrogance is usually attributed to being a negative characteristic, but last night proved that it can be the boost that takes you to other 'other side' of a losing streak.
Hillary Rodham Clinton won the primary in my new home state of Texas. She REEEEEEALLY needed that win this state, along with Ohio, to stay alive. Now, I gave up on her after weeks of "Obamamania". But luckily for us, she didn't give up on herself, even when the waters got rough, and on the surface, it seemed as if she didn't have a chance in hell slowing down the opposition's momentum. Big life lessons abound for us all! Are you way too easily give up? Are you easily discouraged? Well, we only need to look to this shiny example of perservernce, because girlfriend knocked it out. When it looked like she was down for the count, she picked herself up off the formative 'mat', and came up swinging. Low-blows, yes, but still she used the weapons that she had, and when those didn't work, she created new weapons! You gotta love someone who will fight to the death, all bloodied and banged up.
You know, life itself will bang you up, and sometimes leave you feeling bloodies, and spent. But what Ms. Clinton reiterated for me, is that as long as you have breath of life in you, never give up, never say die, fight to the bitter end for what you desire, and what you belive in. Don't take "no" for an answer! Don't turn back around when you've come so far, just because there are a few roadblocks in your way. Find a way to bulldoze through those roadblocks, and keep the end-goal always in sight, always in the front of your mind. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
